Our modular chip ice machines are the most popular for this application, available in a range of sizes from 150kg to 1,200kg/24hours. All of our modular machines are available with or without ice storage units.

Wholesale and processing
 

Ziegra offer three types of ice for wholesale and processing, ChipIce, ScaleIce and StreamIce.

ChipIce machines range from 150kg up to 10 tonnes per day

ScaleIce machines range from 950kg up to 26 tonnes per day

StreamIce systems start from around 1,000litres per day and include machine(s), tank(s), pumping stations and dosing systems.

Ziegra have been building ice plants for many years and have a vast range of options to choose from.

Plants can be commercial where the ice is sold for profit, or co-operatively owned with the ice shared.

Liquid slurry ice for prawns

A range of trawer ice machines and ice makers designed for life on board. Ice machines come complete with their own dedicated refrigeration system, while ice makers are for connection to an existing system.

Machine available to make chip ice, scale ice and StreamIce. Chip and scale ice can be made from both fresh and seawater while StreamIce can only be made from seawater.

When installing a StreamIce machine, the ice can either be made into the fish reception tanks or a dedicated SIB tank ready for boxing, depending of the vessel.

Also available are a range of machines that can make both chip and StreamIce, selectable by the flick of a switch.
Aquaculture   macro flake ice for fish farm

Ziegra have supplied some of the largest fish farms in the UK with ice equipment for harvesting and packing.

A machine was recently installed so that the waste heat from the ice machine could be re-used to heat another building on the farm.
